Training Ideal Choice / Impact Team Staff – Data Analysis Program

Event Overview:
As part of the Decent Economic Opportunities and Communities (DCEO) project, funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented by Chemonics International, a specialized training program in data analysis was delivered for the Ideal Choice / Impact Team.
The program aimed to build participants’ capacities across multiple levels, starting from foundational concepts and progressing to advanced data technologies, enabling them to efficiently work with information systems and make data-driven decisions.
The training was held in Baghdad from October 20, 2024, to January 19, 2025, and was conducted in three consecutive phases, each lasting four weeks.

Training and capacity building – Data Analysis Training Program.

Achievement Details:

• Designing a three-level training program:

  • Basic Level: Data fundamentals, statistics, SQL, Python.

  • Specialized Level: Data modeling, Power BI, SSIS, NiFi.

  • Advanced Level: Big data engineering, data mining, Azure Data Factory, Databricks.

• Combining theoretical and hands-on training to ensure deep understanding and practical application.

• Equipping participants with skills qualifying them for roles such as Data Engineer, Business Intelligence Developer, Data Analyst, and Data Scientist.

• Providing an interactive learning environment supported by local and international experts.

Impact:
The program enabled trainees to acquire practical data skills and transform data into strategic insights. It enhanced their technical competencies in line with Iraqi and regional labor market needs and opened new career opportunities in data analysis, artificial intelligence, and data engineering.
